What is ABA?

"Thirty years of research demonstrated the efficacy of applied behavioral methods in reducing inappropriate behavior and in increasing communication, learning, and appropriate social behavior."

-United States Surgeon General David Satcher, MD, PhD

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the most effective way to change socially significant behavior to a meaningful degree. Some of the skills that we can help your child work on include:

  • Social

  • Language/Communication

  • Academic

  • Daily living

  • Self care

  • Vocational

  • Leisure activities

We use specific therapies based on ABA principles to target each skill, dependent on your child's individual needs. These methods may include:

  • Discrete Trial Training (DTT)

  • Incidental Teaching (or natural environment training)

  • Verbal Behavior

  • Pivotal Response Training

  • Precision Teaching

Programs are unique and individualized according to the needs of each client. Comprehensive assessments are conducted by a BCBA to determine each client’s needs.

*ABA is not limited to autism programs.
